Mudcloth is a traditional textile that is handmade from cotton by the Malian people of West Africa. The fabric is dyed with fermented mud and plant dyes and ultimately painted by skilled artisans who paint symbolic imagery onto the fabric.

Fabric and cushion cover are handmade and will have slight variations and imperfections. It is quite normal for mudcloth to have stains, discolorations, pattern variations, and paint 's these 'imperfect' attributes that adds personality into it and makes it original and unique.
